Hello, my name is Cassandra Kelleher. I like riding my bike, watching old movies, and exploring new towns. I, like many, loved reading early in elementary school but became scholastically apathetic as reading assignments became increasingly tedious. My senior year of high school a teacher inspired in me a renewed love of learning. His encouragement and guidance through compelling literature lessons awakened a wonder within his students enhancing our sense of self at a critical time. I hope to have the same success in my teaching career. I believe reading and analytical skills improve both the personal and professional lives of all people. Learning ought to be relevant and exciting. I hope to show my students that the quest for knowledge is not just a preparation for future living but a way of fully living each day.
