First Lesson Plan Utilizing Tech Integration
Here is my first lesson plan on Weather Systems (VA SOL 4.6). This 4th grade lesson covers (clouds, fronts and storms). In this lesson, the focus was on clouds and fronts, via Power Point and a web site that provides four animation examples depicting the various fronts. Please let me know what you think.

I think you’re on the right track.
Conceptually, I think you need to tie your initial questions into the presentation more tightly. You might consider showing a couple of cloud images and asking questions related directly to the images then making sure they got the answer right and re-connecting with the image as you deliver the content later in the presentation. Look for ways to keep this interactive and make the images drive people’s curiosity. You want them to visually reinforce the definitions but you also want to drive interest in the definition as well.
Functionally, you’ve got some pixelation and aspect ratios that are off. The former may be a result of the upload to scribd but the latter is something we ought to be able to fix.
With the second portion where they interact with the website, students are going to need more focus. Saying “go use this animation” will likely result in frustration on your part and they don’t have a reason to use it, nor a goal to figure anything out.
The KWL questions may be a little over structured as well, especially the W portion. What if I wanted to know more about cloud coloration etc.? That doesn’t really fit under the “safety” heading.
