About me

My friends call me Danielle.

I am an aspiring elementary teacher, Christian, mother and wife.  My greatest blessings are my family and friends.  I want to make a difference.

My educational experiences include completion of a Bachelor of Arts program in Latin American Studies at the University of Virginia.  I am currently a student in the Teacher Licensure Program at the University of Richmond.

Early in my career, I spent about 6 years working in the banking industry.  My main focus during the last decade has been staying home with my 3 young children.  Now that my youngest child is entering kindergarten, I am ready to begin a full-time teaching career in elementary education.  I am especially interested in learning how to effectively teach English language learners.

Besides being a mother, my most fulfilling opportunity has been directing and volunteering at a part-time children’s outreach ministry through my church.  I was able to serve children with diverse backgrounds and I often had to rely on my rudimentary Spanish to communicate with some parents.
