My Teaching Philosophy
The purpose of education is for students to mature not only cognitively but also effectively. I believe the purpose of education is to produce well-rounded individuals who can be effective in a classroom, as well as in society. As an educator, I take this responsibility very seriously, and I must make sure my students are equipped for future success. I will encourage collaborative learning so that children can learn from their peers, as well as individual learning so the children can begin to understand the importance of personal accountability. I will also encourage my students to take responsibility for their own actions. This is a time where they learn from their mistakes, and accomplishments. I want to be consistent in my consequences and rewards, so as to gain my students trust. I believe that students need to feel comfortable in their classroom, and to do this I want them to trust me as their teacher. I will give my students my undivided attention, and will adapt my teaching strategies to accommodate the different types of learners.
