Visualization: Graphic Organizers in Elementary School

Graphic Organizers are great for all grades. It is helpful in the organization of concepts that are learned in every subject.  Some popular graphic organizers I have seen are the KWL and Story Webs. I like KWL charts because they can be used from kindergarten through adult learning.  Story Webs are great for the younger reader or a struggling reader. It helps the student direct their reading and insures that they are retaining the story.

I created this story map. It is a general map and can be used most elementary school classrooms for either a short story or a few could be used for a chapter book.
