World History Lesson Plan with Google Earth

Google Earth is an excellent tool for education, especially social studies.  In this lesson plan, the students use Google Earth to recreate a specific triangular trade route.  Most lesson plans for the triangular trade involve flat maps, pushpins, and string or markers.  Using Google Earth makes the trade routes come alive with  satellite images and moving tours.

In order to view the Triangular Trade project file, you must have Google Earth installed on you computer.  You can download Google Earth for free here.
