Video for SOL VUS.12 D

One of the standards of learning for Virginia and United States History is understanding the role of media and communications in America during World War II.  This video demonstrates that even Donald Duck and Walt Disney were a part of the propaganda war effort.  This video would be used as an anticipatory set or a writing exercise where students would be asked to journal their thoughts about the cartoon.

VUS.12 The student will demonstrate knowledge of the effects of World War II on the home front by

d) describing the role of media and communications in the war effort.
